The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on March 16 officially issued a plan to reopen tourism activities to ensure safety and efficiency in the new normal conditions.

Document No. 829 /PA-BVHTTDL signed by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet on March 15 clearly states:

From March 15, international and domestic tourism activities will be reopened under new normal conditions via air, road, rail, and sea routes to ensure safety, in accordance with regulations on travel and tourism. , against the Covid-19 epidemic.

For international tourism activities:

To comply with the Government's Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022 on visa exemption for citizens of the following countries: Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain , United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus; Official Dispatch No. 1606/VPCP-QHQT of the Office of the Government dated March 15, 2022 on the restoration of Vietnam's immigration policy and related regulations.

International tourists to Vietnam are required to comply with the following regulations:

For passengers entering via air: Must have a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (except for children under 2 years old) before departure within 72 hours if using RT-PCR/RT method -LAMP or within 24 hours if the rapid antigen test method for SARS-CoV-2 virus is used and certified by the competent authority of the country performing the test.

For guests entering via land, rail, or sea:  Tests are required as required for passengers entering via air. In case there is no negative test result for SARS-CoV-2, test for SARS-CoV-2 at the border gate before entry (by RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method or rapid antigen test). with the SARS-CoV-2 virus). If the test results are negative, they will be allowed to enter and participate in tourism activities, if the test results are positive, follow the instructions of the health authorities.

Children under 2 years old who are not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2, have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 or have never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 are allowed to enter and participate in activities outside the accommodation with their parents. , mother, relative.

Tourists must make a medical declaration before entering the country and use the Medical Declaration Application (PC-Covid), and take measures to prevent and control the epidemic as prescribed during their stay in Vietnam.

At the border gate, if tourists have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decrease or loss of taste; decrease or loss). sense of smell; pain, headache; diarrhea; difficulty breathing; respiratory infections...) should immediately notify the health agency at the border gate for medical measures as prescribed.

Travelers must have medical or travel insurance that covers Covid-19 treatment with a minimum liability of $10,000.

During 10 days from the date of entry, tourists self-monitor their health, if they have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body pain, fatigue, chills; decrease or loss of taste; decrease or loss of sense of smell; pain, headache; diarrhea; difficulty breathing; respiratory infection...) must immediately notify the nearest medical facility. for timely guidance and management; take preventive measures: regularly wear a mask, disinfect hands with an antiseptic solution.

Tourists must ensure the conditions on exit and entry according to Vietnam's immigration laws and other relevant regulations when traveling in Vietnam.

Travelers going abroad need to fulfill the following requirements:

Comply with regulations on immigration, health and related regulations of Vietnam and other countries and territories for tourism.

For domestic tourism activities

Implemented in the spirit of Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP dated October 11, 2021 of the Government "Safely adapting, flexibly, effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic" and related guiding documents to ensure safety, disease prevention.

Implement the program to stimulate demand and restore domestic tourism activities nationwide. Organizing promotion, promoting destinations, building diversified and attractive tourism products and experiences.

The document clearly states and identifies the responsibilities of ministries, branches and localities in the implementation of the above Plan, creating coordination among the parties to restore and develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector according to Resolution No. 08-NQ/TW dated 16/01/2017 of the Politburo.
