Na Hang is derived from the Tay language - "Na Hang" means "last field". The Na Hang Lake area is surrounded by 99 mountains with different shapes, creating an extremely spectacular natural scenery. Experiencing tourism in Na Hang, besides Hong Thai commune, it is impossible not to mention that Nang Kha commune is the first commune to reach the new rural destination of the district with beautiful natural scenes and unique agricultural products. The cultural values ​​of the Tay and Dao ethnic groups are preserved intact, creating a solid premise for tourism development. As the first person to work as a homestay in the commune, Ms. Hoang Thi Tho, owner of Homestay San Tho, Na Kha village, said that whenever there are guests, her family often organizes performances of Then singing, dancing stalls, inviting people who are knowledgeable about the village. Tay people come to share their ethnic characteristics with tourists. Thanks to that, over the past 3 years, the number of guests staying at her family has increased.

Creating momentum for tourism to develop

Resolution of the Party Congress of Na Hang district for the 2015-2020 term identifies tourism development as one of three key tasks. Therefore, Na Hang district has promoted organizing and participating in promotional activities, introducing images and people of Na Hang to domestic and foreign tourists.

In 2019, Na Hang district organized the first open Na Hang district terrain bicycle race in 2019; organization to receive the ranking certificate of national special and scenic national relic Na Hang - Lam Binh Nature Reserve; received the Certificate of Decorative Arts on the traditional costumes of the Red Dao people as national intangible cultural heritage; participate in Tuyen Quang Cultural Festival in Hanoi; Thanh Tuyen Festival and National Intangible Cultural Heritage Performance Festival 2019; participating in building a smart tourism system in Tuyen Quang province in the period of 2019 - 2020, vision to 2025. With those specific activities, the number of visitors to Na Hang reached 169,132 turns of people, exceeding 147.7% of the plan. year. Social revenue from tourism reached over 134,617 billion VND.

In addition to organizing and participating in tourism promotion activities, the district has focused on building tourist attractions, attracting investment from businesses inside and outside the province in this field. Specifically, the district has supported home improvement for households to deploy community tourism; coordinate with Lam Binh district to survey and build Khuoi Nhi waterfall destination; Clearing ground for the wharf area to deploy the construction of Na Hang wharf area for tourism.

To Viet Hiep, Acting Chairman of Na Hang District People's Committee, said that in order to promote the achieved results, in 2020, Na Hang district will actively strengthen propaganda and promotion of the image of the land, culture and Na Hang people on the mass media; tourism links with Lam Binh districts; districts  Bac Me (Ha Giang), Ba Be, Pac Nam (Bac Kan) to create many tours, routes and attractions for tourists; well organize cultural activities, preserve and promote national cultural identity, build and embellish historical relics and scenic spots, create many products with specific characteristics of the region.
