In fact, the “core” of the Na Hang Fragrance Festival is the Hong Thai Pear Flower Festival, a unique highlight. Every year, around March, when the weather starts to warm up, the pure white pear flowers bloom. Ancient pear trees that are several decades old, even some that are hundreds of years old, stand proudly in the mountains and forests, becoming symbols of the locality. When the flowers bloom, the whole forest seems to be covered in a pure white coat, creating a poetic and romantic scene.
While “waiting” for guests to come during this year’s pear flower season, Ms. Ban Thi Thuong, a Dao Tien ethnic group, owner of the Mac Cop homestay in Khau Trang village, shared: A week ago, the number of guests booking rooms in advance also increased rapidly. Because according to Ms. Thuong, pear flowers are truly a unique festival of Na Hang district in general and Hong Thai commune in particular. To increase the appeal of the pear blossom festival, the commune also organizes unique cultural and sports activities. Such as organizing fire dancing performances of the Dao Tien people, Shan Tuyet tea star picking competition, beeswax painting on brocade, traditional embroidery activities...
