The Long Tong Festival of Lam Binh district is organized in 2 parts, the ceremony and the festival.

The main ceremony is prepared very elaborately and thoughtfully. The offerings are prepared by 10 communes and towns in the district, mainly held at Pu Bao Temple and then carried to the center of the stadium at the foot of the remaining tree column. The ceremony is held to worship heaven and earth and pray for favorable weather, good health for people, good plants, growth of all things, and bountiful harvests.

The procession carries the Tong tray from Pu Bao Temple to the venue of the Long Tong Festival.

The festival includes activities such as: Plowing the fields, spring fortune-giving, art programs, mass dances, throwing balls, fish catching contests, blindfolded duck catching; cultural and culinary exchanges of ethnic groups such as brocade weaving, beeswax painting, Mong flute dancing, folk songs, folk dances, bamboo dancing, modern dancing.

The festival is organized to preserve, honor and promote the cultural identity of local ethnic communities; introduce and promote the potential and strengths of tourism development in the highland district of Lam Binh.

In recent years, the Long Tong Festival of Lam Binh district has been organized according to traditional rituals, combined with activities of the Ethnic Culture Festival, bringing people and visitors interesting experiences in the traditional cultural space imbued with the identity of the local ethnic people.
