Ha Temple, located in Tan Quang ward; Thuong temple, located in Trang Da commune, the two temples mentioned above were built in Hau Le period (mid-18th century); Ỷ La temple, located in Ỷ La ward, Tuyen Quang city, was built later in the Nguyen Dynasty (XIX century). Three temples were built by the people to worship Mother Mau (Mother Thien Thien, Mother Thuong Ngan, Mau Comfortable) and the gods in the worship of Mother Vietnam.
Folklore recounts that: Once there were two princesses and the Hung King, Phuong Dung (aka Quynh Hoa Princess) and Ngoc Lan (or Mai Hoa Princess), one day away from the price to review the local, parked boats on the banks of Lo river (in Hiep Thuan village). At the night of the rain and wind, two princesses flew to the sky, the people thought that they were monstrous, setting up a temple to worship. The princess Phuong Dung temple is on the right hand side of Lo River in Ỷ La commune (ie Ha temple today). The temple is dedicated to the princess Ngoc Lan on the left bank of Lo River in Tinh Huc commune (ie Thuong temple today). Over time, with the ups and downs of history, due to the serious destruction of Ha temple, people have to carry their idols to Ỷ La village to take refuge. In 1817, the 3rd Khai Dinh began to rebuild Ha Temple on the old site but on a larger scale. At that time, the idol of Ha Long Temple, the victims of nạn La villagers, also built đền La temple to worship Princess Phuong Dung. The formation of Mau La Temple originated from Ha Temple, the two temples worship Princess Phuong Dung who transformed into the Heavenly Mother. In the popular concept, the Ỷ La Temple is the "refuge" place of the Mother, the sacred terrain that protects the Holy Mother, the place capable of preserving the Good, so the Temple Festival of the Upper Temple and the Lower Temple separate the Ỷ La Temple.
