The year 2019 also recorded a continuous increase in the number of international visitors to Vietnam. Starting in January with the number of international visitors reaching more than 1.5 million, the months from July to the end of November continuously increased. In particular, in October and November alone, two records of the number of international visitors to Vietnam were continuously set. In August, after returning to 1.5 million visitors after three months of summer decline, the number of international visitors to Vietnam continuously increased, and October reached a record high of 1.62 million. This number was quickly replaced by a new milestone of November: more than 1.8 million visits, a new record.

High growth rates and prestigious international awards are strong motivations for the tourism industry to continue to develop, however, Vietnam's tourism also has to solve many internal problems to develop more sustainably. , to increase the quality, especially to improve the rate of tourists coming back for the next time. Issues that have been mentioned many times over the years, such as visa application procedures, slash-and-burn incidents, overcrowding in some tourist destinations, the face of local tourism, people's attitudes towards tourists, the missing and weak elements of the tourism industry, improving service quality uniformly... if not quickly resolved, it will become an increasingly large obstacle on the development path of Vietnam's tourism.
