Under Da tree's shadow of Tan Lap village, on the afternoon of August 16, 1945, the Vietnam Liberation Army celebrated the discharge of troops in front of the witnesses of Tan Trao and 60 national delegates to attend the National Congress. Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap read the 1st Military Order and soon after the Liberation Army set off through Thai Nguyen to liberate Hanoi.
