Hang Pagoda is an ancient temple built in the 16th century, during the Mac Dynasty (Mac Dang Doanh). The pagoda is located in Huong Nghiem mountain in the relic complex with Bau Citadel, Binh Ca wharf.

Hang Pagoda, as its name suggests, is located in a rock cave about 50 meters deep, the widest part of the temple is about 30 meters. On the cliffs are stalactites with beautiful shapes created over thousands of years, adding to the mystery and sacredness of the temple. In the middle of the cave, there is a large stone like a sailing ship surfing, making anyone who comes here curious, excited to explore and learn.

In front of the door of Hang Pagoda, there is an ancient stele carved on the cliff with the 8th Dai Chinh date of the reign of Thai Tong Mac Dang Doanh (1537). The stele consists of 2 parts: beer forehead and beer body. Under the forehead of the stele are 4 letters: "Huong Nghiem self-bi". It is known that "Huong Nghiem Tu Bi" is one of the rare written documents in the 16th century discovered in Tuyen Quang. Therefore, the pagoda has been recognized as a provincial relic.

On the 8th day of the first lunar month every year, the villagers hold a Hang Pagoda festival. However, this year due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Hang Pagoda festival did not take place, but the temple still ensures favorable conditions for visitors to perform the ceremony. Recently, the pagoda has completed the construction of the Temple of Heaven on the top of Hang Pagoda mountain, creating more highlights for tourists to visit and sightsee in the early spring.
