Speaking at the seminar, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong affirmed that, with more than 500 historical and cultural relics, blessed by nature with many beautiful landscapes, is the starting place, the convergence, interference of cultures of ethnic minorities with many special festivals... Over the years, the province has had many solutions to promote tourism development. The 17th Provincial Party Congress continued to identify tourism development as one of the three breakthroughs during the tenure. The goal is that by 2025, the province will welcome 2.6 million visitors or more, the total revenue from tourism will reach 3,000 billion VND; By 2030, the province will welcome 3.2 million visitors and create jobs for 30,000 tourism workers. The construction of the project will be the foundation for the province to gradually turn Tuyen Quang tourism into an important economic sector of the province and a safe and attractive tourist destination for tourists.
Experts and scientists highly appreciate the province's efforts in promoting tourism development. However, tourism activities are not commensurate with the potential and strengths. The scheme needs to provide more specific solutions on the basis of integration with the policies of the national target program. The province needs to focus on investing in building unique tourism products, suitable to the local advantages, to meet the needs of the tourism market.
The province needs to promote tourism promotion activities on a larger scale and more widely; strengthen tourism linkages with other provinces in the region.
