From the beginning of 2022 until now, the tourism industry has served nearly 72 million domestic tourists (the full year plan is 60 million), 733,000 international visitors.

Total revenue reached 316,000 billion VND. The number of tour operators returning to operation and issuing new licenses has increased again, with 2,563 international tour operators and 1,060 domestic tour operators.

After the pandemic, 90% of accommodation establishments reopened, reaching over 55% of room capacity with weekdays and weekends reaching over 95%, especially destinations with great attraction.

Transport and aviation activities meet the needs of foreign tourists quite well. New jobs, promotion and promotion of tourism products are promoted.

The most effective linkage activity is the connection between tourist centers (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang ...) with neighboring destinations. Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh proposed the establishment of tourism promotion offices of associations, with the core being large tourism enterprises, in a number of key markets, with the support of the National Tourism Administration. embassies, business offices in the host country, tourism development support fund, etc.

Regarding the issue of entry visas, a representative of the Ministry of Public Security said that currently the Ministry of Public Security has issued electronic visas to citizens of about 80 countries, exempting visas for 25 countries. Some members of the Steering Committee believe that the key point is to create favorable conditions in the issuance of electronic visas for visitors such as shortening and extending the stay.
