Previously, Tan Lap cultural village was also known as Kim Long. Tan Lap has 181 households, of which the Tay ethnic group accounts for over 97%, the village still retains 34 ancient stilt houses. Everyone in Tan Lap village is very proud of being born on a land rich in revolutionary traditions, where the historic Tan Trao banyan tree is located… Currently, the village has more than 20 households engaged in community tourism.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nghiep, a small salesman in Tan Lap village, expressed: We hope that visitors will not only know that Tan Lap is a historical land but also have "famous specialties" such as green rice, cocoon rice, and tea. , shiitake mushrooms, dried bamboo shoots and many ethnic medicines.

Ms. Be Thi Chin, homestay owner in Tan Lap hamlet, Tan Trao commune said: Visitors here can also experience activities such as grilling rice lam,  interacting with campfires and enjoying family's food such as fish, vegetables, smoked meat....

In particular, there are two houses on stilts with great historical value: Uncle Ho's house, where Uncle Ho lived and worked in the early days when he returned from Pac Bo (Cao Bang) and Hoang Trung Dan's house. , where General Vo Nguyen Giap lived and worked from May to August 1945. These two houses have been preserved, embellished, kept their original values and recreated the location where Uncle Ho and General Vo Nguyen Giap stayed and worked, serving tourists to visit.

Not only bearing the historical imprint, Tan Lap village also preserves the cultural values of the Tay ethnic group in the traditional stilt houses and enchanting then and palm melodies.
